Everyone wants to be a good parent, but one has to be prepared to handle conflict and juggle anxious decisions. Raising good people is an enormous responsibility. That's why parents need as much help as they can get.
Without having information about positive parenting, many people in Georgia resort to raising kids with outdated violent methods. Physically harming or emotionally abusing a child is unacceptable. On the contrary, positive reinforcement has to be a vital part of any parenting style. It is essential that your children desire to listen and trust you rather than fear you.
"Dedaena" is the original Georgian language textbook that helps kids learn how to read and write and educates them on understanding the adult world better. We want to teach parents how to be supportive and how to understand the children's universe better. UNICEF wanted to raise awareness around this issue.
So, in partnership with leading behavioral scientists and Georgian child psychologists, they created an Adult version of this book - "Parents' Dedaena." Here one can find the exercises that help parents improve communication between themselves and their children.
Our book unfolds according to the alphabet, outlining the stories and positive coping mechanisms. We'll be giving you specific tools to help you change your parenting methods. We want you to rethink your approach and realize that violence is never the answer. We created this book with the hopes of reaching as many parents as possible so they no longer raise children with violence and instead learn about positive parenting.
